The BCCI took strict action against the team involved in fixing team in IPL. After the 2013 spot-fixing scandal, they imposed a two-year ban on CSK and RR and suspended the players involved in fixing. The board believes that very strict rules have been made to ensure that no future fixing incidents take place in the IPL. This great effort on the part of the BCCI has helped reduce the incidence of match fixing, maintaining the tournament's credibility and preventing another number 1 fixing team from emerging in the IPL.
